5.3 carb intake questions
im building a 5.3 and going to carb. im going to use the msd box so i can map it on the laptop. but my question is, is there any better intakes than the edelbrock intake. i think i need a dual plane for the low end cause its gonna be a street car. any help would be great. thanks.

Im new also. From the research I've done for a street car the edelbrock dual plane seems to be the best option. I'm not sure if GMPP offers a dual plane or not. Do a search lots of info is out there.

Edelbrock is only dual plane out there...GM and victor jr are the single plane options....I run edelbrock performer dual plane on my carbed 5.3 and I got all the low end power I need (still want a cam though!)...just make sure you buy the intake seperate for the MSD 6010 box you don't want the edelbrock kit the box sucks, plus it's cheaper to buy them seperate!

a single plane can be ran on the street.. its all about your cam, intake and converter working together. im running the GMPP single plane with a 3600 stall and a custom Tick Performance cam spec'd to my setup.
