I ended up buying the TCI and ordered my pushrods, just did the order actually. 7.375 trickflows, supposed to be the same as comp hi tech's but 40 bucks cheaper.

Badass build man. I may have missed it, but which machine shop did you have the engine done at? I know there's a few around.
Also, join up on our local forum if you want, we plan cruises and track days and lame stuff like that:

Thanks and yes, it was! We had a few tackle berry's! Ordered a billet-speed alternator relocation bracket, arp crank pulley bolt and percys exhaust headers today. I have some brand new TSP 1 7/8 long tubes waiting to go on. Looking to get this thing alive finally.

I'm working on a similar build as this. I was wondering if you are pleased with everything or is there anything different that you would do? I have the used engine already but haven't bought any parts yet, still doing research. Mine will be replacing my Blueprint engine's 383 in my 72 Chevelle.

If I was to do it all over again I would buy a tms motor done and just have it shipped out. My internal parts may be a little better but dollar for dollar its hard to beat the crate motor. Coming up with that much cash at one point to buy something I really didn't need was the hard part for me. If you already have the engine I can't say there is anything that i've been unhappy with. Between here and yellowbullet people will guide you through pretty much everything you want to know.
new parts today...
-arp header bolts
-percys header gaskets
-arp crank pulley bolt
-alternator
-water pump thats getting welded up before going on
-billet-speed alternator relocation bracket
-serpentine belt
-TSP Long tubes

My friend wrote that on there one night.
It was an AFR headed 385, ran a 12.48@108.29 with 3.42's. Original motor "builder" never magna fluxed the block and assembled the motor with a cracked block. I didn't find that out till initial fire and I was screwed at that point. Tig welded the crack and gave it hell for two years. It said adios in the staging lanes one night.
$100 6.0 lq4 stock cubic inch
diamond pistons/eagle rods 10.3
morel 5206
stock block that HAS been magna fluxed
polished stock crank
SLP billet oil pump
SLP double roller chain
trick flow as cast 220's with hand blending from TEA
chinese head studs
trick flow hardened push rods
LS9 gaskets
brute speed/epp blower cam
edelbrock victor jr
texas speed 1 7/8 long tubes
stock truck water pump that will be welded
stock 145 amp alternator
billet-speed relocation bracket for alternator
junkyard starter
car has a coan racing th400 with 4000-4500 stall converter and 3.42's. Had 4.10's when I bought it but you couldn't drive it anywhere. 275 nitto dr's

That's what I was thinking too, 450 ish hp. I was really going to try for 11.50's n/a. Keeps it right on the verge of needing a cage.....which I want to do later on. Should go like hell with a d1sc and meth.

Next order goes in next week......do these look good to everyone??

I've been picking up details on top of my normal shifts to get this thing done. 72 hours last week. That first pass better be worth it.

I looked at lot of different carbs and contacted pro systems. Great customer service so I may go that route.
Looking to buy some plugs right now...with the trick flow as cast 220's and the CR at 10.5 i'm thinking TR55's gapped to 0.55?? As for wires I've read people saying the stock ones are fine...any truth to that before I spend twice the money for MSD wires?

TR 55 plugs are designed for a .055" gap. That is more gap than you might want. Most guys run the TR6s gapped at .040"-.045". As for the wires, stockers get the job done. If you want a better wire, I would go to the Firecore 50s or Granatellis. Those are both high quality pieces.
