I read on a motorcycle forum that some people use pine-sol to clean their carbs. With berrymans chem dip now costing $30 for 1 gal, I got the same amount of pinesol for just $8. I soaked the carburetors in pine sol topped off with water overnight and then brushed over with a toothbrush. Then I rinsed them off with the hose, dunked in some diesel fuel to keep the corosion off, drained for a bit then wiped clean with a rag.

I love the feel of a well fitted 1911 myself. I sold guns for 14 yrs and played with them all. The Glock is a good utility gun and Ive owned a few, but the 1911 is like a Bugatti Vayron, to the glock LS9 vette. Just a much more solid feel. But if my life counted on a gun on a daily basis, the Glock would more than likely get the nod.
