Default carbed LS

Whats up guys, I'm going this weekend to pick up my first LS. It's going in a 87 K5. The guy already has a victory jr on it and sensors plugged. Im going to need some help, so any advice would be nice.

Being a 4x4 and a K5 (full size) Looking at sig and see it's lifted...you'd be best off to get a dual plane intake since it will be mostly under 6000rpms.

I do not have a msd box yet, I'm waiting to put my hands on the motor first. It's a craigslist deal.

Thanks, that's a old pic and swampers definitely don't hold up well on the road I'm running KM2s now they ride much smoother.

That motor deal fell through, but going tomorrow to pick up a complete 5.3. Maybe it was a sign to stick with injection.

Quadrabogs or sloberjets run extremely well on off road stuff, they will run in all kinds of positions

Holleys work fine also with a few tricks.
Loop the bowl vents together with a breather hole at the highest point.
Spring loaded floats.
Both help to prevent fuel slosh....but nothings foolproof.

Carbed ?
An electric fuel pump
and depending on pump....a regulator, a return line, and some fittings for what fuel line you're going to use.

Well here it is, but I guess on the ride home it bounced around and cracked the oil pan.
