Yea, hoping the 275/60/15s fit ok. May wait till I get the exploder rear in there.

You would probably have a 5 second car if you could focus all that energy on just one.

A 275 on a 8 inch does not pull the tire away from the inside like a 10.

may look like baloon tires, but it will work! i've had a 305/45-18 on an 8" wheel before.

Just not the same as a 60 series 275 on a 15x8. We will see. I'll probably wait till I have the new rear in before I put them on.

I have a pair of 15x8 wheels and plan to run 26x10-15 slicks and I don't believe I will have any issues because of the 4.5 BS. That plus I had 28x10-15 on a 15x7, now THOSE were balloon sides!! When I had the tubes put in them, the guy had to air them up to 50 psi to get the beads seated. And now I have had zero issues with them. Should have done that to begin with!!

With the ford explorer 8.8 I'll be using, I think a 6.5 back spacing 15x10 would stick out an inch. Don't even know of they make a 7.5 BS. Someone probably does. Going to stick with the 15x8s I have now I'm sure.

Ordered the oil pan from an LH8. So I need to sell some other crap to fund the largest piece of the swap. The damn headers. Then I'll order mounts and try to find a 4.10 limited slip 8.8 from an exploder.

You need 15x10 7.5 BS for an uncut 8.8. For a 8.8 with 1 side shortened it needs 15x10 at 6.5 bs. I would put an 8" wheel on a 1st gen to help the tire tuck a little with the backspacings i listed above. Here is my cut 8.8 with 15x10 6.5 bs and 275/60

Yup, looks great stew. I made a damn good decision on this deal. A little far in now but gear when the 8.8 goes in and the bolt pattern can stay the same.

Alrighty then, headers are ordered. Now that the big purchase is out of the way it's all down hill from here.

Anyone know the best place to get some .600ish lift valve springs? Nothing glance but the 4.8 will still hit 7000 rpm with this small cam and valve float is a no no.
