Both have one thing in common. FREAKIN CHEAP CRAP. You want to see what will take the abuse. Go talk to the dirt track guys. Modified or Late Model. Or maybe the Baja guys. They don't just run their stuff for a few seconds. They are screaming their guts out for 20 mins to hours. I'm sure you will find QUALITY parts like Callies, or Lunati just to name a couple. And they are not special just because their name is on anything. Its the same quality whether your a big name or just a guy with a hot rod. So don't be Naïve. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!! ALWAYS!!!!! Be Proud that we have the best products on the planet hands down. Keep our fellow Americans Working. Buy American.

In regards to Callies, I was told that only the CompStar line uses imported forgings.

I don't remember where the low end Lunatis are finished.
They are indeed finished here. I have heard good things about them also, but I have not used one yet.

That's why we went with the Callies Dragonslayer with their Ultra H-beam rods. All Forged and Completely made right here in the Good Ole USA. I know the rods are fordged in Trenton Mich. and the crank is either there or Ohio. This is also why we are on our third winter into this build. Lol Takes a little more money which translates into more time but IMO its worth it to invest in America. And the biggest thing is. If its a better product isn't it worth more time and money. Supposedly the Dragonslayer and the Magnum are the same crank. Just the Magnum has been gun drilled to lighten. Which actually makes the dragonslayer a stronger crank. Seen too many of my friends impatient to get their build done so went cheap and in not too long, BOOM. Rods hanging out the block, holes in the oil pans etc. This is why you see so many give up and abandon their cars, and the decline the amount of racers. They can't afford to start over and unless their ladies are very understanding, they sure don't have to deal with their women over again. (No offence to the ladies out there). You may just as well stay with the stock stuff. It is absolutely incredible what the guys on this site have done with OEM. Whether it be injected or carbed. Absolutely INCREDIBLE.

Default Low RPM torque issues?

Does anyone have actual tests head to head or advice on these two EFI single plane intakes. I am trying to decide which is best to use on my LQ4 with 799 heads and TSP 228r/114LSA cam. The valve train and rod bolts have been upgraded and I will be using the Holley HP EFI controller, and the motor is in a 71 Camaro 4 speed. I understand the issues concerning low RPM torque are not in play so much with the EFI single plane configurations, although it seems in the carb version the Holley is better. Thanks for any help.
