Default need help building a motor for my dragster

ok, didn't really know where to post this so i thought the carbed section might be a good start.

I wanna start building an LS motor. I need to know which platform and what parts i need to achieve my goals. It will be going into a 4 link dragster. My goals are pretty general I don't really care what it runs NA, as long as i can get it faster than 4.99 in the 1/8 on spray for special events. I want to run carbed on alcohol and a distributor. the dragster weighs 1680 with me in it and a conventional sbc.

can you guys point me in the right direction? what platform do i need to start with?

I dont have a set amount of money set aside, i just want to try to do it as cheap as possible.

any help would be appreciated

thank you in advance
Billy

you could do an ls2-ls3 and build a 408,416,418 if built right you could be 5.0s fairl easy and probably in the 4's with out the bottle. figure about 600 hp
