Default MSD 6012 dissapointment.

got my engine together and in the car and the msd6012 is a dissapointment sometimes loses power to driver side coil packs while driving can be driving and run good then out of nowhere it bogs and runs like crap. Thought it was a fuel issue and put another carb on it and still the same.

my msd 6010 never gave me one problem. i went to the same tach and trigger wires as I had the msd6010 on. checked grounds etc.. sometimes box wont interface with pc sometimes it will.... This is pretty ridiculous.

Well After getting very upset and car starting fine etc.. I drove the car for awhile tonight till it started acting up and wouldn't stay running with my foot off the gas. Raised the idle and started unplugging coil packs the entire drivers side was dead nothing. Wiggled the plugs etc.. wiggled the main plug nothing started wiggling individual wires and boom red wire going into coil pack has a break in it somewhere. Rather than wait for a harness replacement etc. I cut the end off and installed a gm one soldered etc and its fixed. I guess a little frustration helps sometimes..
