It should be a very well running combination with the stall speed, gearing, race weight, cam, compression etc.

Glad you found my advice helpful!

Update on project short block is to together flycut the pistons .070. Just waiting on the heads getting them milled .030 and btr springs installed should get them back this week. So might get to set motor in this weekend.

Got the car running Wednesday and took it to the track last night ran a 6.97 and ended up get 2nd place in no box. But shifting the car at 7000. The converter is way to tight it was around 5500 behind my old 406 and now it's around 3800 so I know I got some more left on the table. Timing was set at a total of 32 all in by 2000. Any suggestions on the timing. Maybe Martin will chime in? but over all pretty pleased with it

Congrats on 2nd place.

Have you tried any other timing curves or shift points ?

Thanks and haven't tried anything with the timing didn't really have time. And I tried shifting it lower and didnt like that but I think it would go faster if I turn it alittle harder just didn't feel like it car was consistent shifting at 7000

What mph was the 6.97 pass at? FWIW, my best mph with a similar setup was at 36 degrees. Eric L

There is a whole bunch more in that combo. Your MPH should be closer to 102.
