Default 2000 z28 question

Well I converted my z28 to carb and I'm battling issues with my fuel pump.....I'm currently using the stock fuel tank and sender and have a externally mounted Holley blue....it doesn't seem to be cutting it....any recommendations on a external or internal low pressure pump ?

have you got the holley pump pulling through the old pump? I know your old pump is disconnected, but is the holley pulling through it by the original fuel line.

How close to the tank is the pump? is it located lower than the bottom third of the tank?
These pumps are not good for pulling fuel so they need as little restriction as possible on the input side.
