Default New to me 2000 GMC Jimmy

Figured I'd post up in this section since I'm a carbed member now. Just acquired a 2000 GMC jimmy with a carbed 5.3/th350 swap. Off hear say it is a torquer v2, 3k stall, and a welded 3.08 rear. Not sure on the accuracy of any of that though. Has shorties and a vic jr as well. Heres a pic.

After purchasing it I of course had to take it to the track. Didn't get great numbers but I atleast had something I could work with. On street tires this was my best time. Had to deal with wheel hop and had to throttle going into second gear a little bit.

Borrowed some of my buddies 28x10.50s

Then I was able to run this. Dead hooked out the hole, no wheel hop, clean pass.

Again, not too impressed with the times, but the mph showed good. Anyone think a 1.8x 60' is out of the question ? If so, what e.t. do you think that would put me at? 8.5s? Also, going to have to check the tune up. Didn't even check the jets or the timing. Just ran it as is, how I bought it.

Needs some gearing for sure. My s10 with a 4.8 and smaller cam than that went 8.4 at 84 mph. And that was slipping the clutch to launch. More converter would help you as well.

Just bought a fti 3800-4k stall converter from a member. Should help it out a little bit.
