Put a carburetor on my trans am. Im Not done yet but i never gave it any thought. If I'm running the MSD 6LS and still have the stock computer in the car, Will It still shift the transmission? I Still have the stock transmission.

If you're running the stock computer, why run the 6Ls? Just use the stock computer for your ignition. And yes, to answer your question. Just make sure your engine sensor tables are corrected so that the computer won't command max line pressure.

The carb works itself. All you do is run fuel to it. The msd box is just to operate the ignition.

So I got it done and took a ride and 1st and overdrive are gone. The transmission was already f*cked from the first time I made a pass with the heads. But it had all the gears. Just 3rd and overdrive slipped real hard. 1st and 2nd were fine. Any suggestions? Thanks

It's in limp mode. Need to figure out why.

You can get a manual trans controller probably, I know there is the FAST EZ TCU trans controllers that work. I uses them a couple times. Hell, I'll sell my spare for 400$ with the TPS setup

Do you have a tps hooked up? If not, that's probably why it's in limp mode.

I do not. I didn't have one come with the msd. I didn't think about that. I'm gonna have to try something. This is shitty
