MAP sensor requirement Is the MAP sensor required for the carb conversion on a 5.3L? I've talked to MSD and one of the techs said i didn't need the MAP sensor and another said i did. I have my motor in the car, its running, and it seems to be idling fine. But as soon as i put it in gear and start to drive, the power just falls off. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

IF not using the MAP, be sure to zero it out on the MAP table in the MSD box.
Some have had issues with it adding timing because of that (not zeroed)
