I'm in on it, today was the 1st day & I'm # 5 & they need 10 for the deal, they shouldn't have a problem getting to the minimum.
Seems like a good price, they're not posting prices only get them by PMing the guy in the group promoting the group buy.
Price depends on what you need, I bought the module & harness to adapt it to the MSD harness since I already have the MSD. they sell a full harness if you don't have the MSD.

The shop selling them isn't a vendor here so he doesn't want to advertise it here.

So you need the MSD also ?
Does it do only carb or EFI....or either ?
Do they have a stand alone system "like" the MSD ?

I'm confused

Carb only, don't need an MSD box but if you have a MSD harness already you can use it with an adapter.
I have the MSD harness so I got the adapter, was less than half the price of a complete harness & I still have the option to use the MSD.
My car is a track only car so I figure it's smart to be able to run both, if one has a problem @ the track I can swap them.
One thing that's cool is the box internally stores 10 program & has a selector switch so you can change them without a computer which might help @ the track.

Features

· Upgrade for MSD® P/N 6010 and 6012 ignition controllers.

· Ignition module for carbureted GM LS series V8 engines with 24 or 58 tooth crank trigger.

· Selection for GM LS1 or higher energy LS2 style coils.

· Preprogrammed with advance tables suitable for a wide range of normally aspirated high performance engines.

· Digitally set launch, burnout, and maximum RPM limits with 100 RPM steps from 3,000 to 9,900 RPM. Access to launch and burnout RPM limits requires optional USB interface and PC Link software.

· USB interface and PC Link software allows programming a custom 3D advance table based on RPM and manifold pressure. SmartSpark Log software displays real time engine data during initial setup and dyno tuning.

· Individual cylinder timing (ICT) capability with RPM based offset up to ±5° with 0.1° steps.

· Three general purpose input terminals. Inputs can be used for RPM limits and multiple retard functions including driver adjustable retard (requires optional RTD-1). Mode switch allows selection of basic functions. Advanced features require optional USB interface and PC Link software.

· Status LEDs show trigger inputs.

· Fully encapsulated construction without any internal voids.

· Heavy duty 12 pin Deutsch connectors used for signal connections.

· Same mounting pattern as MSD® P/N 6010/6012. Compact size: 6.0”L x 3.5”W x 0.63”H. N

· New installations require wire harness P/N 119002, 119003, 119005, or 119006 depending on mounting location. For upgrading existing MSD® P/N 6010/6012 installations, use adapter harness P/N 119004 . Ne

The daytona box has many extra features over the MSD. It works with both 24 and 58 tooth cranks. Has individual cylinder timing. Connects via USB. You can load more than one custom tune into the box and change with the rotary switch on front of box. Has burnout limiter, Two step, and timing retard outputs. Testing has shown timing at higher rpms to be more stable than msd box.

Can change tune or rev limiter without laptop if needed

I will be doing a head to head, Daytona Sensors' Smart Spark VS MSD's 6010 coming up very soon. I will have a full write up on it for you all.

It will cover: features, ease of use and performance track test.

So... if someone wanted/needed to go to the Daytona box....all that would be needed is the box and an adapter ?

That's great

yup that's the truth. however, with as many problems as i and others have had with the msd box, i intend to get daytona sensor's harness as well to eliminate any possible variables...but the option remains open to those that don't want to rewire their car.
