I really dont know at what RPM the power drops off on a stock LQ9. Maybe someone else can chime in with some experience. But I do believe the stock valve springs really cant take a beating past 6500.

I was trying to look it up and as far as I could tell the guys with them in the ss and escalades said around 5500 is where they had them shift. the edelbrock site says the intake makes power from 1500-6500. I am also not sure of what rpm you start to run into valve float or where peak power is with that intake

Set the rev limiter at 6000 and shift at 5700. I used to shift my stock 4.8 at 5900 and the stock 5.3s I've swapped at 5700. Never swapped in a stock 6.0 that did not have a cam of some sort.
