Default Drag racing w/ moroso 20143 oil pan?????

Moroso classifies this pan as "road race". I like it for 2 reasons. 1) the oil filter mounts on the rail no relocation needed. 2) it's a 7 quart

As far as oil filter on the pan rail pans go options limited

Anybody drag racing with this pan?

I currently have a stock f body pan. No modifications. Car is street strip. Nothing crazy.

I'm not expecting to pull the wheels through the 60

Is an F body pan good enough?

I have seen posts on yellow bullet where guys say their data logger shows oil pressure drop on the launch with the F-body pan. So, there is a problem, just hard to quantify when exactly you need to step up.

I don't see anyting in the design of that Moroso pan that would indicate it will not work for drag racing. But, I have never used it.

Speed trigger what pan are you using? My car is prob a 10.80-11.0 car. Not sure if it will leave hard enough to have a problem. Car does have great drag suspension as it used to go a lot faster. I'm running a melling std volume high pressure pump. I wonder if some fbody oil pan users having trouble are running high volume pumps. I was told to run a 6.5 quarter total system with the fbody pan. Read about some guys running 7

i'm using a 20140 with a relocated filter. i have video showing a 40psi drop in oil pressure on the launch with a stock f-body pan. with the new pan it's rock steady. the 20142 is exactly the same as i have and is listed as an f-body replacement and has the filter in the stock location. the only difference i see between it and the 20143 is the front portion of the pan is level with the pan rail on the 20140/20142, where the 20143 is sloped back to the rear sump. any of them will work great.
