Not saying it wont work, but didn't on my combo. the shift recovery sucked.
the heads are getting fixed. I got a call day before yesterday about them. I don't ask Trent about anything. I talk to others I know about carb choices. And they make dominators from 750 up in size. But I will talk with the machine shop. I will talk to BTR about their recommendation for carb. And I plan to use nitrous on some races. All depends on which classes the truck can be tuned to run in. I only run 1/8th mile at a local track.

A few things to consider:

The 4.30 gear used with the 3 speed TH350 will make traction very difficult with nitrous. It will be great N/A, but tough to launch on nitrous with all but the smallest shot.

On the carburetor, if you plan to upgrade to a very high RPM 6 liter or a moderately high RPM stroker in the future, investing in a 4500 Holley platform intake manifold would be a good choice. Even if you end up using a 4150 on an adapter with your stock bottom end 6 liter. However, an L92 Super Victor will be slower than a Victor Jr. on your stock bottom end 6 liter. The Super is too big for a <7000 RPM 6 liter.

For that camshaft, this camshaft was designed for a stock bottom end 6 liter with a Victor style intake:

If you end up putting in some forged pistons with valve reliefs or are willing to cut valve reliefs, I would recommend something custom to take advantage of the addition piston-to-valve clearance available.

I will be contacting Brian Tooley racing about a cam for the engine when I am done getting the parts for the bottom end. I would like to put a dome type piston in to increase the compression. And 7000-7500 is pretty much the max I would want to turn the motor.

the 4.30 gears should be fine since I am going with a 29.5/11.5-15 rear tire, and I am running a turbo 400 transmission.
And I am starting to research the info available about port velocity and its effects. I don't plan to port the intake or the heads until I have a complete stroker kit for the motor.

If you are putting a piston and good connection rod in there, don't be afraid of 7500 RPM. With a good piston, it will open up your camshaft choices nicely. I think Wiseco and/or Diamond has a +10 cc piston. Tooley Racing will definitely get you what you need. Just tell him Steve said, to make it Cam Motion camshaft.
