5.3 cam recommendation Guys with cammed 5.3's on nitrous. Which profiles have you picked and how do you like them? Currently changing my setup a bit and looking for better results. I do not want to notch the pistons.
I have spoke to 3 cam manufacturers all have had different specs. I'm looking for a proven combo. My combo is mismatched and runs like garbage haven't sprayed it yet. Went 8.62 on motor at 75 mph 1/8. Looking to pick up a bunch.
Current setup as follows:
5.3 SBE re gapped rings
Ported 862 heads
Head studs
G5x1e 116 lobe seperation
Super victor intake
750 hp carb
3000 converter
3.55 gear
Plate kit pilled for 200.
I will be changing the cam, putting a brake in trans, upping converter to a 4000 and changing to 4.10s if need be.
