So, long story short my friend is building a car and when we go to start it it sounds like it has a backfiring issue at low idle. Up top seem to be fine but when Idle drops down she starts to pop pretty bad. The carb was just rebuilt so I don't think that's the issue. Coils are hooked up properly and are getting spark. Also something I've personally never seen before when the car was idling for about 1 minute the passenger side header was very hot and where the driver side header was warm and could still touch it. Also right now the engine has no coolant in it. Please any input or advice would be great. Also has the Daytona Sensor if that helps! Thank you

Thinking vacuum leak. Get the coolant topped off....can't tune a motor like that.
Check around the carb and intake with carb cleaner....you'll know real fast if it is.
