Default Question about carb conversion on 99 firebird

I have the oppertunity to get a very low mileage mint condition 99 v6 for basically free. I was thibking this could make a good street/strip donor car. But to keep things easy i was looking to go carbed LS/SBC. Does anyone know if it is possible to pass inspection taking the EFI out? I tried searching but really want able to get much info. By the way there is no smog in my state but they will plug into the obd2 to check for codes. Any info is appreciated

As long as they are plugging into OBD2, carbs ain't gonna cut it. It would be even easier to just put the complete LS engine in with computer and all from the car the engine/tranny came out of. Then OBD2 is not even worried about.
