Default Air bleed question

Im helping my dad with his 69 camaro. He has 4053 Holley carb. A person he had asked to tune it drilled out the pressed in air bleed and put one in that's to big. Now we can't find one that will fit. 10/32 thread .027 size. Outside diameter of thread is 18. The one I took out did not have a head on it and used a Allen to remove. Everything im finding this size had a head and wont fit. Please anyone know where I can find .027 with no head. Please need help going nuts trying to make his car run right.

Sounds like he may have made his own from 10/32 brass set screws ?

You can buy some brass ones and a pin drill set to make your own in the size you want or need

Put one of the brass set screws into a variable speed drill and turn it slowly. Get the correct size drill bit into the pin vice and using WD40 drill out the set screw to the restriction you need. Install in the carb with a little blue loctite.

I drilled out the bleeds and idle feed restrictors on my Holley and am using the same things above. You can't drill your own jets, they need a special shape, but everything else is fair game.

Lots of write ups on it out there
