Default LS3 Vic Jr Vs Holley split manifolds

Anyone that might have a side by side for height comparison ?

Thinking of maybe making a change, but limited on room.

Sometimes the respective catalogs might have dimensions listed in the back somewhere. At least Edelbrock's from way back used to.

Yes, got that. I'm told they don't measure the same way....IDK

Aint that the truth, I agree the website specs are bunk. Vic Jr says 7.4 and Holley claims 7.32 for carb heights. But for max height Edelbrock claims 6.0 for Jr and 6.070 for Super but they claim the Super Vic is 1.12" taller than the Vic Jr. Must be new math

Yes, agree, and why I asked for a "hands on" measurement.

Even IF someone could get a measurement of the Holley split from valley plate to carb base and I could do the same on my Vic Jr.

Super Vic shows about 7.1/2 - 7.3/4 from valley plate to carb flange from another post here...
As seen here.

Holley Split claims 7.1/4 as if you sat it flat on a table ports down and measure to carb flange.

Vic Jr specs........Carb pad height = 7.40''
Super Vic specs..Overall Height = 7.67"

Damn the carb version is way taller! I have Edelbrock 28095 Super Vic EFI version and its 6.5" from valley cover to the carb flange. Oddly enough Edelbrock lists 28095 and 28097 as same height.

Not sure myself, but I hear some say the Edel isn't all that they claim but I watcher videos on the dyno and it doesn't look bad IMO...but no vid's of same motor with the Holley.
Holley says RPM range is 2500-7500.... Edel says 3500-7500. Not that it matters much with me having a 5000 stall.
I'm looking for about 50HP in my combo to get to my mid 10's goal NA...maybe I just need to tune more and work my 60' more.
EDIT: Ideally...so not too far off
60 Foot 1.47
660 Foot 6.69
660 MPH 101.63
ET 10.6
MPH 125.00

I stage at about 1200-1500 and go WOT flashing the converter on the last yellow to get my best 60'. I tried my 2-step at 3500 while I was WOT and let go of the button on the last yellow but lost .2+ in the 60', ran .2-ish slower in the 1320' but went 1.XX MPH faster (could have been the DA ?)
Only changes made was to put in a 4.5 PV where it had a 6.5 PV (10" of vacuum at idle)
Carb jetted to best MPH/ET as well as timing.
Best was 10.96 @ 121.53 and last outing was 11.1X @ 122.XX (both DA's were close)

Just fighting me I guess...more time in the seat maybe.... but don't think it has a mid 10 as she sits.

Seems to like being short shifted, maybe due to a tight nitrous converter ?
I even been playing with the idea of going to a Holley Sniper since my carb goes fat on the fuel at 7000 11.8-12.0 which isn't terrible, but may not be helping.

I’m not sure where Edelbrock gets there measurements, but they are not correct.

The super Vic measured 7-1/4” from the valley cover. I just put a Holley split design on mine and it measured almost exactly the same 7-1/4”.

The Victor jr is an inch shorter than both of these at just a little over 6” above the valley cover.

Thanks... I can't afford an inch taller.... so thats out.

Now, watched an intake shootout... there was only 10hp from best to worst... not worth it IMO.

We will be testing both the Holley split intake and the Vic Jr I have been running on the dyno here soon on my LS2 stroker. I have little extra clearance so we will have the exact height difference here soon.
