Default msd 6014 boosted problems

I run a blow through carb and the msd 6014 box on a ls engine.I get around 20psi and basically gets boost cut and shuts down.My question is has anyone done their timing retard by rpm on this box instead of using the internal map sensor. If so how does it work and or any issues.thank you

Default Msd

Did you ever figure this out? I currently am running my factory pcm as my ignition box and it works well I have it setup to run off only RPM so no matter what rpm it's at it'll respond with the timing I set so nothing gets in the way

Make a graph that changes the timing at different rpm, and shut the map off. Your going to need a AFR meter that data logs to see where you need to adjust the timing in the graph to get it right.
