i like them so much that when i recently wrecked my vert i went out and bought another 4th gen
. I personally like both the 4th and 5th gen but to me there is just something about 4th gens i like better. The other day i was at subway and the guy behind the counter started asking me if i was gonna get rid of my car for a 5th gen and when i said no he actually agreed with me..lol. He was saying that the 4th gens look more like a sports car while the 5th gens look to big. It kinda surprised me because everyone else i know keeps telling me to trade my car in for a new camaro as if doing that would be a no brainer or something, but i will just keep my 4th gen with h/c and go whoop up on newer camaros

I like the 5th gen, but I will keep my 4th gen because I enjoy the raw, visceral character of the car. I didn't buy a 4th gen in spite of the lack of refinement, I bought it because of the lack of refinement.
I haven't driven a 5th gen Camaro, but based upon my experience with GTOs and newer Corvettes, I'd wager that many of the traits that made the LT1/LS1 cars so much fun are mostly expunged in these new cars.

i will probably always have at least one fourth gen, this is my first one, had it for a year and a half now, and even with all the BS i have dealt with with GM's crappy engineering, i love the hell out of it

If they came in white with either white or red leather interior, you could get leather in a stripped down 1SS, and had red stripes, and were 350-400 lbs. lighter, I'd have been all over the new 5th gen. The IOM interior/stripes on white were good enough, but I don't want a 2SS and they don't have white cars yet. So, I might be looking at an '11 Camaro.
I'll sell my fouth gen in a heartbeat to get the perfect 5th gen. I'll put up with the weight since I know the government regulations are the cause, but my car has to be white with either red or white leather. Won't get a 5th gen without those things.

I am reminded of how much I like my Camaro when I go to a show or the drag strip and I get people coming over and drooling all over it when at the same time a new SRT8 Challenger gets no attention. I know it is not the best looking Camaro around by a long shot but its got my hard earned money and hard work into every nut and bolt.

I used to, but mine has been breaking so much I'm planning on selling it ASAP. I kind of like it but it has been costing way too much money, it is possessed or something.
Just a V6 anyway.
Once I get a job again I'll be trading it in on either a trailblazer (need something more utilitarian) or maybe another 4th gen Camaro but a Z28 or SS. I do like the 5th gen though so I may save for that instead.

I just bought my 98 V6 as a second car a couple months ago and love it! I sat in a new RS at the dealer today. I thought it might be cool to own 2 red Camaro RS's, one 4th gen one 5th gen.
