Reminds me the story of the guy with the BPM '97 with some unusual decal on the side of the car (a waving checkered flag or something). He made a topic on here a few years ago asking things like paint code and was saying he was repairing a BPM Camaro that was wrecked and he bought it.
Turned out I had pictures of the car when it was sold on ebay about 3-5 years before this guy bought it wrecked! And it was in perfect condition back then.
I'd post the pics... but I don't want to search for where I uploaded them back then. Heck, they might be somewhere in this topic...

1997 b4c camaro bright metallic purple
Just came across your forum today. here is a pic of my camaro. I bought it a year ago from State of Texas. After stripping a coat of gray paint, then baby blue. Found the original color was bright purple. Was going to paint it black but after discovering how rare this car was I decided to bring it back to its original glory.

Wow! 1 of the 16 bright purple B4C police cars! All of the Houston police Camaros were repainted a bright blue color, and then after they were done with service they were repainted another color.
bxr6wct5, do you already have pics of what your car looked like before repainting it? If not, I do. I have pics from when it was dark gray. Send me an email if you want and I can send you the pics. brangeta (at) gmail.com
Are those 18 inch Z06 wheels?

Haha...she was a good car. Drove from Alabama to Pennsylvania in 2005 after I scored her on eBay for $5,000 with only 92k on the odometer. Two months later I got rear-ended....insurance company settled for $8,600 after I told them how rare of a car it was.
Didn't even get to take my own pictures of her except for this one:

And here she sits now....completely stripped it and am still working on putting everything into another Z28 shell that I picked up cheap.

Makes me miss the good ole days. Thanks for the memories.

Some day some people will find that car in 20 years and realize how rare it was. Its too bad you couldnt fix whatever was wrong with it.
I sooooo want to paint my car BPM. If only I had the cashflow.
Any more updates to this thread?

I had a 97 bpm z28 i loved it. Car had ttops, 6spd, gray cloth seats, and manual crank windows. Color was awesome i only drove it maybe 6 months and hit a deer with it sold it to a friend and he sold it someone fixed it and now who knows. This color is sweet after a fresh wash and wax in the sun. I sure miss that car....

I'm gonna bump this one with a few pics of the $1k 1997 camaro i just helped a buddy of mine buy. it's an RS, 86k mi, needs some of the body kit and a paintjob and a missfire fixed and a paintjob because the idiot who owned it before the shop towed it had put plastic over the windows when the motors stopped working
