"Security" light flashing in Dashboard... and Camaro wont start.
The problem that I'm having is with my 1999 Camaro. I recently changed the Ignition Lock Cylinder. My car wont turn on because the "security" light if flashing. Im planning on trying to give a VATS BYPASS MODULE a try.
The seller asks for a key code (from 1 to 15). The new Ignition Lock Cylinder's key has no resistor pellets, its just a plain key. Does that make a difference? Will a VATS BYPASS MODULE like the ones that are being sold in ebay do the job, and make my engine start?

Thank You for any help or advice you can give me.

If GM installed one you should have been given a new key with it.
If you want to start your car you can install your old one. ohm out your key get some 1/2 watt resistors to match your key and sodier them into the wires going to your pcm.
If you do a search there is a ton of stuff out there for it. I just did one in my friends TA it was up and running in 15 minutes.
