Default L36 Camaro... What should I do?

The v6 is my daily driver... just wish it had a v8 in it. I'm looking for something reliable, with something like 375hp - 450hp and a 6L80E.

I know there's people out there that can make the 6L80E work with an LS2, but I've never heard of anyone making it work with an LS1. So finding a complete salvage title F-Body LS1 and swapping it over to the v6 wouldn't give me the 6 speed, but would be cheap. I could also do a carburetor set up on a junkyard LS engine so I don't have to worry about the computer if I don't mind the 4 speed.

I've also seen the LS3 E-Rod package GMPerformance is selling. Wondering if that would be a better road to travel...

Then again, the amount of money I'd be putting into the car, plus the car has some value... If I were to start putting brand new parts in the car, it wouldn't be much more to just build a 1st Gen Camaro from scratch. 1st Gen Camaro > 4th Gen Camaro.

... So what would you guys do?

A) Salvage swap.

B) Overhaul with new parts and crate engine.

C) Stuff a junkyard 5.3L or 5.7L in it and carb it.

or

D) Sell the car and build a 1st Gen Camaro.
