Default Bigger cam and timing chain replacement

Been searching on here but got mixed readings. I am swapping my 01 ls1 stock cam to an 224 or 228 cam.(not doing heads at this time yet) My question is what would be the best timing chain to replace the old one with? Double? Ls2 chain? Thanks!

LS-2 is your best choice and it is not very expensive.

Definitely LS2. Here's some pics of mine compared to the stock ls1 timing set:

LS2 set for sure. Spring for the new sprockets too. Cheap ins and the matched set will last longer
