Default help with running hot

i recently bought and fixed up a 1996 camaro lt1 z28, rebuilt the transmission, painted the car. i was told the motor had been replaced within 15k. the problem i have been having is it likes to run around 235 if not hotter, but doesnt get in to the red zone. i have installed new radiator hoses, thermostat, and the sensor in the water pump, it doesnt leak, and the airdam is in place, i just wired up a relay to allow me to turn the fans on early to hopefully keep it running cooler and it didnt really help. i am gettin a 160 degree theromo in the mail and was plannin on flushing the whole system again. but i am pretty much lost, only way i can cruize around is with the heat on and thats not very fun, any info would be greatly appreciated
