hi everyone, i just recently got a 5.3 motor that i rebuilt and now i want to put it in my 98 camaro that has a 3.8 in it right now. this is my first project like this so i am really excited but also confused on some things tho. what wiring harness and ecm do i need to use? am i able to get a harness and ecm from a ls1 camaro? any advice for the swap would be great help thanks.

The wiring must come from the 5.3 donor.

There is a guy on on mifbody.com that did this. I think his name is sman you might want to look him up as he maybe able to answer all the questions you have.

not only did he do this with a 5.3 he has an entire build thread on it which is very detailed.
