How much does a decent 67-69 1st gen camaro sell for?
I was just wondering how much a decent clean 1st generation camaro sells for. Im not talking about a rare car just your average clean z28 or SS. I cant decide if i want a 1st gen or a clean 4th gen. I dont have a clue how much the 1st gen are going for if someone could help me out that would be great.

And as a guy who built 3 1st gen and now 1 4th gen, you will have a bunch more $ into the 1st gen to run with and kinda be as dependable (as in DD) as a 4th gen.
At the same time-a 4th gen will never get the oohs and ahhs.

A rusty 69 shell is 5K a real Z28 depending on options? you better take second out on your house. I sold a roller 10 years ago for 5k
The one I am building now has near 30k in suspension and sheet metal, That still needs to be installed =)

Go to Team Camaro.net. They are one of the bigger 1st Gen forums out there. Their classified section usually has a couple of hundred 1st Gens for sale. If you want a reliable daily driver or something you won't be ashamed to run around in (but won't be perfect) you are looking at spending 15k on up. Real nice cars start in the 25-30k range. Prices are depressed right now but the 1st Gens that have paperwork are still bringing the most money.
You will have to wrench on the car, it's not like a 4th gen where you can just drive the wheels off of it with no worries. You will probably need to brush up on your skills with a carburator as well.

i bought my 67 SS clone a few months ago for $19K. Fully restored and all. Its not the most perfect car out there ( few spots in the paint ) but if you want to compare the "oooohhs and aaahhs" against my old 02 WS6 then the 67 wins hands down. I got mine of autotrader classics or cars.com...i remember exactly....
