Default 97 Z28 Starting Problem

Got a 97 Z that the ignition VATS wire broke I repaired it and it worked fine for 6 months then broke again,I have a key value 12 (6.040)installed a resistor and it is making it to the BCM (6.040)but car will not do nothing.Tried hooking to scanner but the dash lights are not working and scanner will not read.I can jump the TDR and the starter will turn but will not crank,no fuses are blown Has anybody got anything to try,it's about to drive me crazy

I have the same problem right now with a 2000 TA. I had the VATS deleted and it still will not engage the starter.
