Default Help, Please. Throttle acting funny

I tried to seach couldn't find. First My car is 00' m6.(normal idle is about 900) When I am driving or if I rev the car up, when the rpm's are dropping it hangs up around 1,500 some times more when I am coming up to a stop sign. (even in neutral or in gear while on the clutch)

Could be the IAC or the TPS sensor in the TB.

Try cleaning the MAF with some MAF sensor cleaner and the TB with some TB cleaner.

I had the same problems a few times, where it hangs up there and takes for ever to come down, sometime if i knifed it, they would come down, but it was the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). When you replace it, don't buy a cheapy as i did a few times because you'll be replacing it again very soon. Get you an AC Delco one. Sometimes it threw a code and sometimes it didn't.

ok I was messing around between football games, if this helps anymore it does not do it at all when the car is cold, only when I drive it for at least a few miles. Does that help narrow anything down?

It sounds like a fuel issue, spark ignition isn't affected by temperature change of the motor. Try running some fuel injector cleaner through the fuel system, if that doesn't help replace the TPS device on the TB.

Thanks guys, I'm leaning towards the TPS because it has had fuel system cleaner in every oil change. I'm going to grab one tomorrow after work and see how she acts after that. Least its cheap and the car does have 70k on, it so wont hurt anything to put a new one on anyway :-)

I just put in the new TPS and took it for a spin. That seemed to be the problem the R's go right back down to idle when they are supposed to. So Thanks for the input everyone
