I've got a 92 RS 305 original motor w/140000 miles.. Runs good,no noises or knocking. But no and the check engine light will come on.. No codes when I check so I don't know where to start looking.. I smell gas as I'm driving and the car seems to want to run hotter (220) than normal(180). I have 180 thermostat. I just made trip to NY and back and hwy temp will run 180-200 when its happening. But I'm town driving she wants to run 220-230.. Coolant is full,no leaks detected. And fan operates normal with about 220 fan will kick in? But temp will still rise? Does not seem to be missfiring. Any help or advise where to start my search???
