Default Just got my first car. :)

so i just got my first car its a 2000 camaro v6. with 100k miles. all ive done to it is a lid. and it has gutted cats witch i think are slowing it down. but it does have some issues the heater dont work i think its the heater coil i have no idea how to get to it any ideas? and also the temperature needle was working but it doesnt move now idk if its the needle or the censor . idk im clueless . but i was thinking of a swap and before ya tell me its cheaper to get a z28 or something. i know but its way cheaper than a vette so id rather do the swap. any ideas on what i should do or how to get the coil and temperature ? thanks

For the heat, FLush The Heater Core.
Lets see some pictures of the beast.

Certainly not trying to steer you away from this site, but camarov6.com will be endlessly helpful for you to get the car back in shape.

Congrats on your first ride!

If your doing a swap and money isn't really an issue. Just swap in an ls6 reason being is how costly it is to swap from v6 to v8. Everyone catches the mod bug. Congratulations on your purchase. This is the site. Make sure to take lots of pictures for your first build thread. We all love seeing every part of these cars.

if ur puttin the ls in place of your 6, you will need a k-member, would recommend a tubular, a t56, and probably a driveshaft

Sure you can. You just have to get the other pieces necessary for the swap. T56 into a v6 would be fine. But I don't recommend putting the t5 with a v8 unless you beef it up first at which point you might as well go with a t56.

Quick Reply: Just got my first car. :)
