Default 87 Camaro Throttle Body Issue

A friend of mine is working on her dad's 87 Camaro. It's in great shape structurally and cosmetically, but the engine isn't exactly running the hottest. It has the 2.8L V6 and it seems to bog down and not want to idle. Someone has told her that it's the throttle body sucking air past the bushing on the input. Does this sound plausible? If so, is there any way to fix it, or would replacing it be the better option? Her dad wants to keep it as stock and as factory as possible. Does anyone know the factory part number for the proper throttle body for that engine? Thanks!

this has happened before. i am pretty sure you can just replace the bushings on the throttle body but just swapping out the throttle body will probably be easier and quicker
