Can't reset the trip meter / oil change warning
Hello! First, I'm new here, my names Steven and I'm from Switzerland.
I have bought a 2001 Camaro Z28 with the M6 tranny about a month ago. It got about 60k miles on it. Now I have a problem with my cluster, I can't reset the trip meter and also the oil change warning. If i push the rod, I feel it pushes a button underneath it, but nothing happens. Also if I hold it down for 12 seconds to reset the oil change warning won't function. Do you have any ideas? I hope I don't have to replace the cluster just because of that...
Thanks!
Steven

hmmm, don't know what to tell you about the gauge cluster, never heard of that happening before. But you can get rid of the oil change light by turning the ignition to the "on" position and pressing the gas pedal three times.

Hear it is the corect procedure how to reset oil service light Chevrolet Camaro. If you like to reset any maintenance oil light after an oil change. Or reset check engine light, airbag light, inspection key or insp errors when maint reqd, for Chevrolet cars. Or any warning light for service reminder who appears on the display.
Try this and then will se if the button for trip reset is not working or have another problem.
