I had a red '97 TA and my pewter '99 at the same time for a while. But sold the '97. I would like to get a 87-90 GTA to stick next to the current TA. My wife is leaning more towards a '89-90 IROC-Z. I like them, but I am a die hard Trans AM fan. She says that dosent matter..... it would be hers. Whats one to do?

I have a 99 T/A ws6 and a 2000 Camaro and a 93 corvette. I love GM power. Hell I have a dodge baja race truck and I even put a Chevy 383 stroker motor in it. But I do have to say I drive the trans am the most it just looks good I love the body lines and its fun.

I've had two at the same time for the last 5+ years now. The '98 is a very low mileage garage queen/show car. The '02 was originally bought to be an all-season daily driver, and I did use it for a couple of winters, but now it's only a spring/summer/fall driver.
Nothing wrong with having two 4th gens. They are fun cars to drive, and it's for that very reason that I bought a second one that I could drive regulary without the worries of a show car. Both are optioned almost exactly the same, with the specific stuff that I most prefer:

I guess Trans Am Ws6 SLP optioned would be the correct term?
Honestly, I should probably read a tad and brush up in the special edition vehicle forum.
I have never really cared much for the whole special edition vehicle type thing since I'm 98% performance and there is nothing to be gained with the Ws6 VS base model. However, I have wanted a true Ws6 2002 car for a few years now, I like that it has the SLP options as well. It probably won't ever be worth jack but it is nice knowing that I have one of the top models that were available for my year (firehawk, blackhawk, etc would be awesome but I don't care for the looks).
EDIT: About 30 seconds of reading, literally... LOL
Trans Am Ws6 ASC optioned.... Seems 96-97 SLP did the "additions" and 98-02 ASC did the SLP additions.
