might be worth making a offer on it if he want u to basiclly by the motor..the body gives u alot of room to low ball him...i would only buy it if i could drive it before and make sure it has no problems beside the body

it would be a hell of deal if he's got all of the receipts, and possibly a photo log or something so you know hes telling the truth, and of course a test drive if in anyway possible. Worst he can say is no, Start offering him way lower, Consider what was said above and low ball him b/c of the paint and he said "car does need to be painted and needs some work..." So, Don't hesitate on asking questions.
