No way I still like reading all the threads in the lt1 section I just hope my build doesn't lose interest on ltx.

I'm hoping that if I have it done and running in time next year that if everything with work is going ok and I have the confidence in it ill try and drive it to bowling green to the ltx shootout! I've been wanting to go for the past 3 years!

Well guys its been a while since I've posted an update I've been busy sourcing parts on a budget or for free but the swap is coming along!

Got some stainless longtubes from a buddy for free! And a y pipe for $50 gonna use my flowmaster merge and run a 3.5" cutout!

Got a k member and steering rack for free!

Got a 97-02 center console for free!

Here's how the car is sitting now got the wiring separated now just working on getting it in place so I can put the interior back in!

Also got my arp rod bolts in so off to the machine shop soon!

Well guys took my dirty rusty k member outside Saturday since it was warm and washed it off and then painted it gloss black!

My next update will be hopefully on Wednesday when I get a surprise goodie I scored ill post pics when I receive it!

Anyways to go ahead and run down some future mods for the car I have a 31 spline 8.8 I was gonna build but I have decided to go a different route I'm gonna get a mustang housing since the axles aren't offset and use my 31 spline carrier with either 4.10's or 4.30's and since the rear is 2 inches shorter on each side I'm gonna order either some billet specialties or some weld rts wheels on a 5.5 bs for a nice fat lip! Haven't decided on what I'm gonna do appearance wise I want a sunoco but I don't think I will be able to afford it :/ so I will probably just do a ss spoiler! Clutch I'm going with a monster stage 3,and gonna pick up a mgw shifter!

Well guys finally sold my last lt1 I had laying around today also dropped the ls1 off at a buddies to drop off at the machine shop for me!

After I sold the lt1 I turned around and got a great deal from my buddy some .660 dual springs for $150!

So so far into the build I have a complete motor, cam, full exhaust,k member and steering, arp rod bolts...etc.

And since I have gotten most of my stuff for free or cheap I believe I've only spent a grand total so far of $435 bucks and machine work will be about 350-400. Re ring kit is around $450 then u just have tranny bellhousing input shaft etc...,wiring,PCM and tune so I'm think overall with the whole swap ill be under 2000 easy for everything when I get the rest of this lt1 stuff sold I definately will be!

Man all I can say is I have some of the best friends a guy could ask for and with all the free stuff and bro deals I really barely have anything into the entire car!

Without them I would've gone broke as well as crazy piecing together this build lol!

Thanks man I try to keep everything nice with me being on a budget! Best piece of advice I can ever give you for this swap is find a wrecked car with everything and I mean everything there. Swap it all over and part the car out/sell your lt1 stuff and you could even come out on top lol!

Piecing together everything has taken me forever and is a pain in the *** but its definitely been cheaper! I've missed a lot of events with the car it sucks but I know it'll be worth it in the end!

Hoping to have it down by cruising the coast so any gulf coast members should be able to see it!

Well guys i finally got to borrow a trailer from some friends to get rid of black Betty! Scrapped her and made enough to buy my input shaft for the transmission.

Almost she'd a tear having to watch my first car go away to get smashed.

Also got my oil pan and pick up tube!

Deadline is 50 ish days till cruising the coast so I'm hoping to get her there.
