I found a 1997 SS 30th Anniversay Camaro for sale close to my home town and was very excited about the purchase, but after seeing the car it has a few missiing items that are making me think it's a "CLONE". It's a two owner car with 51,000 miles and 6-speed but here are my issues:
1) No SLP decal on the driverside door jam
2) Does not have the RPO code "WU9" on the factory door jam sticker
The factory door jam decale does have RPO code "R7A" (SLP Option Code), "Z4C" (30th Ann Edition) and "10C" (houndstooth Interior).
What am I missing? This car does not look like a CLONE but the missing SLP decal and factory RPO codes have me concerned. The current owner is clueless about RPO codes and documentation so rigth now I have backed off.
Thanks,
JAck

I called SLP and gave them the VIN number and they said the car was never in their shop and is not a real SS SLP.........the owner of the car said they don't know what they are talking about nor do I....LOL....I guess he got taken when he bought it back in 2008 and now can;t unload it...O-well my search continues.
