Default 4th gen traction control button surprise?

Over the weekend I went to a little car meet/parts flea market and one of the guy that was there said he worked for gm and blah blah blah etc...... He was telling me that for my car (2002 camaro ss), it has a performance mode/sport mode that gm never told buyers about and it can be turned on by holding down my traction control button for 15 seconds and that this setting would turn off once the car was off. Anyone ever heard about this? Or is this just some bs?
