Well, I will not be swapping motors after all, I tore into the WS6 that was supposed to trade engines with me and upon draining the engine oil out of the ws6 found the oil pan was FULL of metal.
Instead, I am saving up at the moment to have the ls6 heads ported, Magic stick v4 with dual .675 springs and LS7 lifters.
stay tuned, I'll be posting as we get going.

I left the ws6 engine in that car, re-connected everything, recharged the AC and let it roll out of my shop.
tbh, it made no noise, had 40psi of oil at idle hot. Their plan was to take it to a non-smog state and auction it or try to sell out of California. Not that I agree with this sort of thing but they told me they would be informing whoever purchased the vehicle of the oil condition.

goin for install!
Replaced the oil pan with a GM new unit (Old one was cracked). Re-sealed the valve covers, replaced the plugs while the motor is out and flipped the steering rack bolt that hits the oil pan when you go to service the steering rack.
