Default 98 ls1 auto

I'm currently in the market for an ls1 camaro. I found an r title ls1 auto for sale in my area for pretty cheap. I know most of the body and suspension things to look for, are there any ls1/4l60e specific issues i should look out for? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't worry too much. as long as there's no mickey mouse wiring or anything odd if its in your budget and its a get in and drive go for it. just what out for humming from the rear end with those torsen diffs. mine was completely wiped out at 145k miles. guy didn't even know how it was still driving lol replaced by a auburn unit

do 98s have torsens? i just put one in my 98 3800 car before it was totaled. literally 1 week after i had the 3.73s and torsen put in, it got hit.

I've owned 2 4th gen f-bodys so far. First i had a 93 3.4 m5 bird, then i had a 98 BPM 3800 m5 Camaro. As previously stated i know everything about the exterior quirks and noises and all of the suspension stuff.

Pretty much everything except ls1 and 4l60e specific things i know about.

btw my firebird had mickey mouse wiring! lol the abs inop light was on at all times. even with the key out. turns out they had the ground for the abs module hooked directly to the acc power post lol
