I have a favor to ask...

I have a 61 Chevy bubbletop that has a fiberglass induction scoop on the hood. I am starting the process of redoing the car. It is cracking at the attachment location.

I think the best way to remedy that would be to cut off the induction cowl from a reproduction metal hood and weld it on.

Could someone here with a 69.with an induction hood do 3 measurements for me? The diagram below indicates what I"m trying to discern.
