I didn't see this coming! BUT, I understand why you are doing it.
I'd keep it as stock looking as possible(no hood, stock gauges, etc) with the only difference being the LS1/T56.
i agree on selling the LT1 T56 to someone wanting to swap a thirdgen and doing the entire TA drivetrain into the 91...

Yeah the exterior will remain the same as it has. I plan on doing some smoothing and painting in the engine bay, and a fabricated tube intake, but no changed other than maybe the exhaust tips visually.
I'm pretty sure I have the transmission assembly sold for when it get pulled at the end of the season, so head cam money should there!

Not much to update as I have only really been selling off parts of the 1998 so what is left can get hauled off to the crusher, but I had a couple small parts show up to go on the pile.
Racing Innovations long tube headers
Proform blank valve covers with coil relocation. These will be going for powder coat once that pile gets big enough.

Thanks man. I honestly think I'm just gonna run a plate, unless I run into a deal on a tubular K member. We will see. I'm kinda back burning that decision until I have more the high dollar stuff bought and paid for. Nice looking set up though.

Starting my planning of the fuel system. I plan on retaining my 3rd gen fuel tank, and using an upgraded pump and corvette fuel filter/regulator.
Question... Is the Racetronix (walbro 255) kit with Hotwire the best solution? Will this be enough? I have heard talks of Supra Bosch fuel pump adaption with positive results.
Thoughts?

Well it turns out my planning is all it is gonna be for a while longer on the LS swap...
God blessed my wife and I with an extra heartbeat in her belly, which mean instead of the one new baby we are having twins, and I'm gonna need some of that money I set aside for fun go fast parts...
I'll update when I have something to share

We had babies, and they are healthy and seem to be happy!
I'm gonna be starting the project back up, and moving forward with it soon. Not to the full H/C/I like I had originally planned, but I will cross that bridge when we get there.
Nice shot of the Car Hot Rod Magazine shot while at a show over the summer..

Congrats on the little ones.
As for the car, sharp third gen. So many beat down ones out there its nice to see a clean one cared for. Will be badass with a stock look and ls1 power.

The car, yeah keeping it clean is my pet peeve. Subtle exterior modifications keep it tasteful, but I have plans to do more as time and money come. Gotta get the engine going first.

Small update, as I'm still at the point of putting parts in a pile. Picked up a clean low mile set of 243's, got an LS7 clutch set up, and got a set of Hawks Stainless 1-3/4" headers in trade for the chinese ones. I'll upload some of the comparison pics for those wanting to see down the road.
I also ran across a deal that I couldn't pass up on some brakes, so gonna make an improvement there over my current Baer set up Getting excited!

With this case it was removing the anodizing that was the hardest part. The actual polishing is fairly easy. I run a very large Bosch grinder with 10" sewn cotton buff and formax black rouge. Before the polished could happen I had to sand down the cnc machining marks similar to polishing paint. Let me know if you are really wanting to get in depth with that info... I can nerd out on it lol

For my Birthday over the weekend I took some time away from the family and hung out with my best friend at the shop and drank a couple cold ones, and tore down the donor motor for inspection.
I didn't really take much for pictures... beer.
To sum it up, the odometer on the car show 207K miles. The compression was 155-160 across all 8. The plugs had no oil frizzies or any other signs of wear. Pulled the valve covers and it was very clean. Pulled the heads, and found very little carbon build up, and the cylinder bores are very nice with solid cross hatching still completely visible. pulled rod bearing caps, and the cam, and found again good looking bearings. This one looks better than the last two LS motors with under 100k we had open. Maybe it was replaced somewhere in the history of the car, or it just looks good... Any who, not gonna rebuild it
