Here is my big news....
Detroit Speed and JRI Shocks and Chevy High Performance Magazine have teamed up to take BADNBLK to the next level of performance, in a 3 part magazine tech article to install DSE's Speed 3 front end kit, and their Speed 2 rear suspension package!!!! That is correct I'm rocking a full DSE suspension package including custom valved double adjustable JRI shocks with billet housings... YUMMY!
DSE won't be able to run their own 3rd gen in any West Coast events this season, so I will be holding the reins, and flying the DSE flag during LS Fest West, Optima Ultimate Street Car series @ PPIR, and Goodguys Autocross @ Colorado Nationals.
Its a huge honor to be involved, and even more so to write a tech article for a magazine I have respected for many years.
If you got questions about the DSE parts I might just have the info you need as I just mounted it all up

Wow.... Been a long time since I logged in here. The traction on this thread never really took off, so I didn't really update as much as other places.
Short and sweet! The car was awesome. Raced LSFest West and won the platinum award in the autocross. Ran a 12.5 @ 117mph without even touching a tire for adjustment from the autox. I brought it home and made some small changes for some big improvement and the car was running amazing at the PPIR Ultimate Street car series event... Until the Road course when the engine literally grenaded on the road course during the 3rd session... FREAKING FLAME BALL BLOWN UP!!!
Yeah... Totally sucks. From best I can tell the oil got washed down as an injector failed (possible knock off bosch green top 42lb) Lost #1 AND #2 out the sides and bottom. I have had a whole bunch of life happening for me, and I still have not go it put back together yet... I will be back and the car will be better than it ever was.... someday.

Nice Z/28. I used to have a 1991 Z/28 convertible. Wish I still had it. I traded because the cam started walking in the block and I didn't have the time to replace the engine. However had I did, I would have gone with an LS1 swap.
