Default 4th gen camaro trunk release

Im heading to a pull yard tomorrow to pull out some 93-97 tail lights for my 98, and it is likely that the power trunk release wont necessarily work, as the battery likely no longer is attached. However, I was curious if there was another way to open the hatch without a key. Help would be very much appreciated.

I don't think fbodies have that pull string way of releasing trunk/hatch.

If the yard car actually has a harness that works, you just plug in your car's battery and use the hatch release button by headlight switch. Takes 5 minutes.

crowbar! or you can pull the carpet back from the trunk after crawling to the back and manually work the latch to open it.

10mm socket and go in from the rear seat area, that's what I do. Remove the four bolts that hold the latch assembly from the inside and you can then lift the hatch up. Or you can just remove the taillights that way, you'll already be back there.....
