To paint or not to paint...
My 2000 TA WS6 is showing some age. I've got some flaking paint on the high rise spoiler and some bubbling of the fiberglass. I'm wondering if repainting is worth it or will it kill the value of the car since these are no longer in production.

Which is worse for value, bad factory paint, or a good re-paint? These cars are not desirable enough for purist collectors to pay a premium for original paint, and if you're worried about it's value decades from now, then don't even worry about it unless you're going to put it in storage and never drive it.
I kinda get a chuckle out of people thinking that any year Firebird is worth more now that Pontiac is gone.
I've had people tell me my 67 is now more valuable because Pontiac is gone. They quit making 67 Firebirds 48 years ago. Nobody is going to pay extra for a 67 Firebird because they can't go buy a G6 anymore. Same thing with 4th gens, they quit making them 13 years ago. They aren't worth more just because there's no 5th gen.
Anyway, my advice is do whatever YOU want with the car and don't worry about it's value. Owning a car and stressing about it's resell value kinda takes the fun out of owning it. Owning a car as an investment is even more pointless.
