I'm helping my brother-in-law get a V6 RS Camaro pretty cheap. It has been sitting over four years with a bad fuel pump. The RS in question is a 98-02 body style. I was told that the gas tank is also bad. I have a 96 Z28 for parts I can get the tank out of. The fuel pump doesn't concern me but can I swap over the gas tank from the Z28?

The car is a 98. Gas tanks should swap over I believe. I know the 98 LS1 cars had a metal gas tank but do they share the tank wit the 3.8 v6 cars?

as long as both cars have steel tanks its fine. 99-02 got larger plastic tanks

Ok. That's what I thought. Now if I can get a hold of them, I'll be getting the car.
